Robin Ross and Leah Lichy
Meet Robin
Robin has a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education from De Paul University, Chicago. She has her certificate in birth-3 in Montessori (AMI), Denver, CO.
Her passion for education and understanding the importance of early childhood development is what led her to seek a more natural approach to birthing her first born. It was her incredible and empowering birthing experience with the aid of her husband, birth doula, and HypnoBirthing®, which gave way to finding her true passion: helping other moms and families have a confident, calm, and empowering birthing experience.
Robin is a certified HypnoBirthing® Practitioner affiliated with the HypnoBirthing® Institute , a certified birth doula CD(DONA), and a Certified Lactation Educator (CAPPA). In birthing and rearing her own children (all three born completely natural two in hospital and the last at home), as well as formerly working in a Montessori school as a Directress, her goal is to create positive and empowering experiences for her clients during their journey to birth.
Meet Leah
Leah’s birth support education includes Labor Doula training through DONA (Doulas of North America) in 2005 and hosting the ToLabor training in 2012.
She received her diploma from the Chicago School of Massage Therapy in 2004. Then furthered her certification by completing both Fundamental and Advanced courses in pre- and perinatal massage therapy, run through Body Therapy Associates, taught by Carole Osborne-Sheets and Liz Ellis.
Leah attended CAPPA’s Lactation Educator Certification Course, where she first met Robin in 2009!
Her education for Placenta Encapsulation was through Tranquil Transitions Placenta Encapsulation Training in August of 2013. Personally, after being a doula for 10 years, she was guided by her own doula and husband, and brought her beautiful daughter into the world, through water, in a beautifully supported homebirth. Then, in 2017, Leah’s son was born in the same manner. She adores being a mother and has found that, now through her own births, she has an even deeper connection with her expecting and laboring clients!
